Pawan Kalyan to produce ‘Dabangg’ remake

HYDERABAD: Tollywood superstar Pawan Kalyan is all set to take Bollywood’s super cool character Chulbul Pandey to Southern cinema. Pawan Kalyan is going to debut as a producer by remaking the Telugu version of the superhit hit Hindi film of 2010, ‘Dabangg’. In fact, Pawan will take up the role of Chulbul Pandey in the Telugu version of the film.
Bollywood star Salman Khan made this super cop character popular through his maverick performance. Now, Pawan Kalyan will have to work very hard to recreate the charm of Salman Khan.
In various award events, ‘Dabangg’ has ruled several times in these few months. So, it will be a challenge for Pawan to remake this blockbuster.
Moreover, they have chosen the title of the film from yet another legendary Bollywood movie ‘Sholay’s popular character Gabbar Singh. There will be double pressure on Pawan Kalyan as an actor as well as the producer of the film.
Harish Shankar of ‘Mirapakaya’ and ‘Shock’ fame will be directing this movie. The director is supposed to start shooting for the film very soon but they have not yet finalised the girl, who will play the role of Rajjo, made popular by newcomer Sonakshi Sinha.
Lets hope Pawan Kalyan does not disappoint his fans as most of them must have watched Salman Khan doing those stunning stunts!
