Tamil Hero Proved His 'Nil Count'

The Tollywood circuit has always been accommodating for non-local artists. While most of the heroines are non-Telugu and have made their careers by working in Telugu films, even heroes from other languages tend to come with their dubbed films and have created a strong fan base.

Notable among them are the Kollywood heroes. The likes of Suriya, Vikram, Karthi have got a market of their own in Andhra Pradesh. However, one superstar has not been that lucky in Telugu. He is none other than Vijay. Though he has crazy following in Tamil Nadu like Pawan Kalyan in AP, Vijay has not been able to find his feet in Telugu.

Sources say he had huge expectations on his recent release ‘Snehithudu’ due to the Ileana and Shankar factor. However, reports say the film got a decent response but not enough to give Vijay the recognition. Many are saying that if Vijay’s role was done by Suriya then the impact would have been stronger. Some are also adding that the title is not youthful and gives an old taste. Better luck next time ‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay.
