Story
Naresh (Allari Naresh) born with super
natural powers with a mistake by Lord Brahma. Naresh who fails to pass
intermediate does stage shows and in this regard he falls in
NaradhaMuni’s trick ending up marrying Yamaja (Richa), Yamadharmaraja’s
daughter who comes to Bhoolokam. Yamaja takes it seriously while Naresh
hesitates his marriage initially but later falls in love with her. When
everything falls in place, Yamadarmaraja (Sayaji Shinde) who comes to
know about his daughter marriage takes her back to Yamalokam while
Naresh who has the super natural powers follows him to the Yamalokam.
The rest of the story is to be watched on the screens.
Performances
Allari Naresh as usual
is incredible in his comic timing and entertains you to the core. He did
his best to pull off the role and is good in his dances as well.
Richa Panai is slim and
glamorous but she needs to work on her acting skills and expressions.
Her costumes are awkward while the dubbing has not suited her.
Sayaji Shinde as Lord
Yama is alright while Master Bharath rocks the show. The Bommarillu
spoof has come out well. Ramya Krishna gave her best though her role was
not etched well. Krishna Bhagawan is good, Tanikella Bharani is
regular, Raghu Babu, Jyothi are vulgar.
Technical Analysis
Music by Koti doesn’t impress you, and
it’s only the remix track of Attho Atthamma kuthuro that grabs interest
in masses. Background Score is just okay. Cinematography has nothing to
boast of. Screenplay is sloppy and editing could have been crispier.
Dialogues in the first half are good, direction is just okay. Production
values are good.
Analysis
Besides the clichéd story, the first
half of Yamudiki Mogudu has good one liners and rhyming dialogues.
Allari Naresh shows his incredible comic timing while Master Bharath,
Sayaji Shinde, Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagawan supports him well. However,
the second half of the film is slow paced and few of the scenes like
Allari Naresh dressing as a woman and scenes between Allari Naresh,
Ramya Krishna looked inane. The climax is absurd and emotional depth in
scenes lack. The only song that clicks is 'Atto Attamma Kuthuro' remix
which is packed with raunchy dance movements by Ramya Krishna, Naresh
and Richa Panai, that will go well with front-benchers. The plot goes
out of pace several times but the director manages it with the spoofs on
films and double-meaning dialogues. Though parts of the first half are
entertaining, the second half fails to hold your interest.
Final Verdict
A better second half might have made Yamudiki Mogudu an enjoyable fare!!!
Superstar Rajnikanth watched Allari Naresh starrer Sudigadu on September 5 at his residence in Chennai with a special digital screening via satellite by the Sudigadu filmmakers. Rajinikanth has expressed his desire in watching the film which is the remake of Thamizh Padam and the producers immediately arranged the special show.
Rajinikanth has showered praises on Allari Naresh and director Bheemineni Srinivas and Producer Chandrasekhar Reddy for the film’s success and the Super Star opined that the Telugu version is better than the Tamil one. The makers of Sudigadu thanked Rajinikanth for his words.
Sudigadu has turned out as the biggest hit in Allari Naresh career no just on AP but in overseas too.

Story :
Kamesh (Allari Naresh) and his wife (Hema) become the proud parents of a dynamic and powerful new baby who is born with a six pack body. Just when the baby is born, Thikkal Reddy (Jayaprakash Reddy) comes in as the villain and he becomes a sworn enemy of the baby. To save the baby from Thikkal Reddy, Kamesh gets his mother (Kovai Sarala) to escape to Hyderabad. The baby grows up into Shiva (Allari Naresh), a powerful and dynamic young guy with seemingly invincible powers like a Telugu Cinema hero.
Shiva can make bullets stop, challenge time and even make Posani Krishna Murali speak intelligently. On a side note, Shiva meets Priya (Monal Gajjar) over the course of time and falls in love with her. Thikkal Reddy’s gang members keep hunting for Shiva and he decides to fight back. He also faces resistance from the mysterious Don D.
How he fights them all and with what powers forms the rest of the story.
Positives :
Allari Naresh is outstanding in the role of Shiva. He uses his comedy timing to great effect and he keeps the fun factor in the film going right till the end. This is one of his best performances to date. Monal Gajjar is ok.
Jayaprakash Reddy, Shayaji Shinde, Krishna Bhagawan and M.S.Narayana do a good job and they manage to make the viewers laugh. Brahmanandam is good as Jaffa Reddy. Hema and Kovai Sarala are alright. Srinivas Reddy entertains in a role that is a satire on the Siddha character from Khaleja. Fish Venkat and Raghu Babu entertain briefly.
The strength of the film lies in brilliantly conceived spoofs on all the biggest hits of the industry. The spoofs have been done in a good natured way without malice and they will be enjoyed by everyone. Two spoofs stand out for their brilliance – One on TV Anchor Omkar and the other on the custom of Thigh Slapping (thoda kottadam). The spoof on Omkar in particular had crowds rolling in their seats with laughter. Posani Krishna Murali adds great fun to that sequence.
The film moves with good pace most of the time and nice comedy keeps the viewers entertained. Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao succeeded in integrating the comedy cleverly into the narrative.
Negatives :
Climax is a letdown for the movie. Humour quotient and entertainment factor dip considerably in the one scene that should have been a highlight. The court episode should have been better conceived. Also, the final twist in the film did not pan out the way it was intended. Until the climax, I was having great fun but the poor ending spoiled the experience a little for me.
Songs are another minus point. Except for the opening song, none of them are really entertaining. They serve as speedbreakers. Romantic track between Naresh and Monal Gajjar could have been better.
The second half, especially towards the end, suffers from a slight dip in pace. Kondavalasa and L.B.Sriram look out of place in their characters.
Technical Aspects :
Cinematography is decent. Dialogues are brilliant and deserve special mention. They have been written in a very entertaining fashion. Sri Vasanth’s music is just about passable. Editing is decent but it could have been sharper in the second half.
Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao succeeds in making the film entertaining right till the very end. He should have taken more care with respect to the climax. Production values are good.
Verdict :
Sudigaadu is a good clean entertainer that will make you laugh out loud. The spoofs are brilliant and like I said, the one on Omkar is not to be missed. Allari Naresh proves yet again that he is indeed the Comedy King. A badly executed climax spoils an otherwise solidly entertaining film. Still, Sudigaadu is one very enjoyable spoof on TFI and it makes for a good watch this weekend. Don’t miss it.
